Preventive Care
Wellness visits are an integral part of your pet’s overall well-being. During the annual wellness visit, your pet will receive a comprehensive physical examination. Our veterinary team will make recommendations for labwork and a vaccine protocol specific to your individual pet. We will provide counseling on pet care, parasite prevention, nutrition and behavior. Animal Hospital Of Newton Conover maintains a fully stocked pharmacy.
Medical Care
We provide care for acutely sick patients as well as those with chronic disease. With our in-house, state-of-the-art laboratory and digital radiographs, we can gather and interpret results quickly, so that treatment can be initiated as soon as possible.
Surgery
We offer a wide array of soft tissue and orthopedic surgeries at AHNC. In addition to spay and neuter procedures, we perform more complex surgeries such as mass removals, splenectomies, gastrointestinal foreign body surgery, cruciate repair and amputation, just to name a few. Please feel free to inquire about the different types of surgery that we offer.
Dental Care
Dental disease is the most common health issue among our pet population. We offer professional dental cleanings and are equipped to handle dental extractions and oral surgery. Our veterinary team can also make recommendations for at-home care to improve long term dental hygiene.
Ultrasound & Echocardiogram Services
These are specialty services that are scheduled by appointment only with a Sonopath Ultrasonographer.
Emergency & Urgent Care
If your pet has an emergency during regular office hours, please call immediately. It is best to call before coming in so that a staff member can advise you on your emergency. Calling ahead also allows our staff to be prepared for your arrival. Please be advised that some emergencies are best handled by an emergency hospital, and we may direct you to the closest emergency facility. Euthanasia Services
