Dr. Sechrist grew up near Pittsburgh, PA where she graduated from Allegheny College in Meadville, PA with a Bachelor of Science degree. She continued to earn her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine, with clinical year at Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine.

Dr. Sechrist has been in the Veterinary field for more than 15 years but has been involved with animals for as long as she can remember. She credits her affinity for animals to her parents who taught her to love and be kind to all animals and encouraged her to attend all of their family vet appointments to learn what information the vet had to offer.

Professionally, Dr Sechrist looks forward to seeing her patients year after year at their routine wellness exams. She enjoys getting to see their wagging tails trot into the hospital and it warms her heart to see their families leave with a smile on their faces knowing that their furry family members are happy and healthy. She cares deeply for preventative medicine, dental hygiene and soft tissue surgery. She strives to educate her clients on their pet's well-being and basic care and tries to share as much information as possible to answer the "why" and "how" of medicine, surgery and diseases.

Personally, Dr Sechrist enjoys spending time with her husband, Cory, who is also a Veterinarian, and their one-year-old daughter, Laramie, who has already developed a love for animals through their two cats, Pearl and Dibbles, and three horses, Sheza, Trixie and Frank. She also enjoys spending time outdoors, listening to live music, cooking and home organization.
